Nomitai is a social app for sharing a “want to drink today” signal with friends. This policy explains how the current backend-connected version handles information.
Nomitai automatically creates an anonymous app account. We may process anonymous account and user identifiers; display name, profile image, invite code and friend relationships; drink-plan cards, reactions, matches, messages, cheers/story posts and viewing history; user-selected photos; reports and their selected reasons; push-notification tokens and basic device/platform information; and settings stored on the device.
We do not request a legal name, postal address, telephone number, payment information, or precise location.
We use this information to provide friend connections, social posts, matching and messaging, display user-selected images, deliver notifications, remember settings, prevent abuse, investigate reports, and maintain service security.
Profile and cheers/story photos selected by the user are uploaded to our backend storage so they can be shown to the user and permitted friends. Do not upload sensitive information or images you do not have permission to share.
Nomitai may request notification permission. Push tokens are used only to deliver Nomitai-related notifications. Notifications can be disabled in the app or device settings.
Nomitai uses Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage, and may use Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver notifications. These providers process information on our behalf. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We use access controls intended to limit social data to the account owner and permitted users. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Drink-plan cards normally expire after 3 hours and cheers/story posts normally stop being displayed after 24 hours. Related records may be retained longer where needed to operate, secure, and moderate the service.
The in-app data reset removes local app data and disables the registered push token. Clearing app storage or uninstalling does not by itself delete backend data. To request deletion of the anonymous account and associated backend data, email [email protected] with the subject “Nomitai data deletion”. We may request the in-app invite code to identify the account. Safety, fraud-prevention, or legally required records may be retained where permitted by law.
On first launch, users choose either 20+ display or under-20 display. Under-20 display removes alcohol-looking copy and visuals and uses soft-drink wording. This selection is not used to verify identity or legal age.
We may update this policy when app features or legal requirements change. The effective date above shows the latest revision.
